The Denver Fire Company needs your support
Become a support member and help serve your community and the brave volunteers of the
all-Volunteer Denver Fire Company. Here are some ways to serve. We will host an open
house and welcome all of our social members to the company.
Support member jobs:
Bingo Help: Bingo currently runs on rotating crews usually on a four week rotation. We will
work with all volunteers to accommodate needs and maintain continuity. Assist with calling
back numbers. This job lasts approximately 3 hours .
Physical requirements: Light duty: walking, talking and removing trash bags at the end of the
night. Occasionally may be asked to "tear down" which includes storing bingo equipment.
Bingo Kitchen: Light duty: prepare and serve food in the kitchen on Bingo nights,
Duties include: Set-up, cooking, serving, and cleaning kitchen generally approximately a four
to five hour commitment.
Bingo Set-up: Prepare the hall for bingo nights: Medium duty job involves setting tables,
chairs, and bingo equipment according to a diagram. Usually a two person job, but the more
help the better. This job may not need to be done every week but usually occurs on
Wednesdays. The commitment is approximately one hour.
Fund raising assistant: We host fund raising events year round to include but not limited to
flower sales, BBQ sales, and the Chicken Pot pie dinner. We would like to do more and
need your help. The physical requirements are varied and you will only be asked to do what
you are physically capable of and willing to do.
Event organizer: Organize and coordinate Fire company event such as fund raisers and
community outreach programs.
Emergency management assistant: Answer the phone, assist with organizing aid efforts,
assist with rehab of firefighters.
Hall maintenance: Lawn and building maintenance as needed and as directed by the
trustees and hall manager.
Community service hours: Do you or your group need to complete community service hours?
